FAYE JEAN MASON MOYE

September 30, 1943 -- June 3, 2023

Funeral Service for Ms. Faye Jean Mason Moye, 79, of Eudora, AR, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, June 17, 2023. Service will be held at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Main and Highway 8, Eudora, AR; Rev. Donyell D. Moye, Pastor.

Faye was born on September 30, 1943 to Matt and Ida B. Dodds Mason in McGehee, Arkansas. She was a baptist and was a member of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Donyell D. Moye.

She started her undergraduate degree at AM&N College(UAPB) Pine Bluff and completed her degree at University of Arkansas-Monticello obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology Education. After obtaining her degree, she returned to Eudora and began teaching and later retired from the Eudora School District.

Ms. Moye was very involved in the community of Eudora; serving on the school board, city council, and she was the last surviving member of the voters registration. She was also a hairstylist and enjoyed sewing.

Ms. Moye passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. She is survived by five sons, Edwin B. Mason of Chicago, IL, Terence Katrale Drew of Houston, TX, Ronald Maurice Drew of Eudora, AR, Curtis L. Moye Jr. (Lissa) of Missouri City, TX, and Donyell D. Moye (Shonda) of Lake Village, AR; three sisters, Earnestine Mason of Chicago, IL, Betty Mays of Benton, AR, and Helen Marie Jones of Little Rock, AR. She is preceded in death by one son, Robert L. Drew and one brother, James Earl Mason.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 6 -8:30 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel, 137 Front Street, Eudora, AR. Burial will take place at the Mason Cemetery, Eudora. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 137 Front Street, Eudora, AR.
