Funeral Services for Mrs. LaVerne Toston, 82, of Dermott, AR, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022. Service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, North School Street, Dermott, Arkanas; Rev. Ricky Lattimore, Pastor and Officiating Minister.

LaVerne was born on January 24, 1940 to Clayton and Camilla Johnson in Dermott, Arkansas. She was married to George Willie Toston and to this union are three children.

Mrs. Toston was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rev. Ricky Lattimore, Pastor. She completed her education in Dermott and later began working for MonArk Boat Company of Monticello. Two great interest she enjoyed was fishing and going to church.

Mrs. Toston passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital Greenville, MS. She is survived by three children, George Toston of Dermott, AR, Charles Brown of Gardiana, CA, and Brenda Toston of Dermott, AR; and two siblings, Wardell Brown of Dermott, AR and Alberta Coleman of Chicago, IL; neices, nephews and other relatives; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday afternoon, October 14, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott, AR.

Burial will take place at Turner-Hill Cemetery, 803 South 12th Street, Wilmar, AR. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
