Ramon Torez Mannings, 54, of Hamburg, Arkansas, transitioned from this life on December 13, 2025.
Born on December 8, 1971, in Monticello, Arkansas, Ramon lived a life rooted in family, tradition, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Ramon pursued his education at North Arkansas College in Harrison, Arkansas.
Throughout his life, he remained closely connected to his roots and community. Known for his caring nature and love for life, Ramon found joy in the simple pleasures - especially spending time with his loved ones and immersing himself in the natural world.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Mannings Sr., his mother, Jacqueline Mannings-Robinson, and his brother Donald Mannings Jr.
A devoted husband to Loretta Vaughan and a proud father to Jacqueline Flanagan (Sam), De'Andre Mannings (Aleigh), Jasmine Mannings (Flavio), Rosa Palmerin, and Elizabeth Simmons, Ramon cherished every moment shared with his family.
His role as a grandfather brought him immense pride and happiness. He leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Levi Calvin, Harlow Luevano, Ka'Mari Luevano, Mario Simmons, Skylar Simmons, Axel Simmons, and Moriah Simmons.
Ramon is also remembered by his sister, Donna Whitaker (Eddie), brothers Lee Mannings and Terry Mannings, and step-brothers. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, mother of his children, Anastasia Harvey, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Hunting was more than a pastime for Ramon - it was a passion that defined much of his leisure time. Whether he was breeding and feeding hogs, running dogs or tracking game through the woods, he found peace and purpose in nature. His skillful cooking was an expression of love, bringing people together over well-seasoned meals, backyard barbecues, and memorable seafood boils.
A man of faith and quiet strength, Ramon lived by the words of Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." These words now offer comfort to those mourning his loss. May Ramon's memory bring comfort to those who knew him, and may his legacy live on through the lives he touched.
After cremation, a private memorial service for the immediate family will take place where he'll be laid to rest. A repass will be held in southeastern Arkansas in the months to come.
An informal celebration of life held by his children will take place in the Missouri Ozarks Tri-Lakes Area, at a later date.
An oak tree will be planted in Ramon's honor on his family's land. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to support the official recognition of the Mannings Family's Century Farm.
