Robert Liggins

Robert Lee Liggins, Sr. was born on October 5,19587, to

Mable Liggins. On September 16, 2025, he transitioned

from labor to reward.

Robert was the third of five children; he grew up in a small

but closely united community filled with the love and

support of family and friends.

Robert accepted Christ at and early age and was a

member of First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR.

He was a graduate of Wilmot High School, class of 1975.

After finishing high school Robert joined the Army

National Guard where he served for ten years. He worked

as a mechanic during his military tender. After his military

service he continued his career as a well-respected diesel

mechanic in Southeast Arkansas for close to forty years

until his health required him to retire. Even in retirement

he was able to instruct others on how to repair farm

equipment on the French Farm in Dermott, AR

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mable

(Christins) Miami, FL, Robert Liggins Jr. St. Louis, MO,

Katina Robinson Parkdale, AR and Quatecia Liggins Little

Rock, AR, four siblings; Chester Owens Sr. (Wanda) of

Hamburg, AR, Christine Anthony (Otis) Parkdale, AR,

Gwendolyn Russell Wilmot, AR, and Joyce Arnold Eudora,

AR., Ten grandchildren: Latonia Marshall, Shanteria

Caldwell, Keyonce Stanley, Dazavion Stanley, Rashad

Liggins, Makayla Liggins, Ramarian Liggins, Robert Liggins

III and Logan Wilson, six great grandchildren. Bonus

children: Roshonda Wood, Laquavis Smith, Travles Ellis,

Rickey Baines. Bonus grandchildren Detria Baines, Rickey Baines Jr. a special

friend for over twenty-five years Detria Ellis and his best

friend Howard Lee. Along with a host of nieces, nephews,

cousins and friends.
