Graveside Service for Gwendolyn Yvette "Wanda" Thomas, 42, of Dermott, AR will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, November 12, 2022. If weather does not permit, service will be held at Dillard Funeral Chapel, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott. Rev. Lucan Hargraves is the officiating minister.
Burial will be Saturday in Davis Cemetery, Service entrusted to Dillad Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
Gwendolyn was born on November 2, 1972. Her parents were Henry Earl Nelson, Sr., and Kathy Hubbard Nelson (now deceased). She attended Elementary and High School in the Dermott School District. Her husband was the late Rufus Lee Thomas. She lived in Dermott all of her lifetime and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking.
Gwendolyn passed away on Monday October 31, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She leaves as survivors one daughter, Rochelle Renee Polite of Dermott, two sons, Stanley DeWayne Polite and Brendon Robert Polite of Dermott; Father, Henry Earl Nelson, Sr. of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Felicia Michelle Nelson of Conway, Henrietta Michelle Nelson of Lawton, OK; two brothers, Henry Earl Nelson, Jr. of Dermott and Tramone Quarnize Nelson of Conway.
