HORACE AKINS
Funeral Service for Mr. Horace Akins, 67, of Hot Springs, AR, formerly of Dermott will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022. Service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott; Reverend Ray Reginald, officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Dermott. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
He was born on April 1, 1954 in Dermott to the parents of Matthew Gene and Okalene Cooper Akins of Dermott, who preceded him in death. He passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2022 at CHI St. Vincent - Medical Intensive Care in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He graduated from Morris Booker in 1973.
Horace Akins is preceeded in death by one sister, Dorothy Jackson and one brother, Aaron Akins
He is survived by his children, Karen Johnson, Erma Johnson, Reheanna Walker, Shariff Akins, Anissa Akins, Taborace Akins (Hot Springs), Nanette Johnson (Dermott, AR), Horace Johnson (Missouri), Johnathon Johnson (Little Rock, AR): brother and sisters, Sandra Woodard, Bobby Ridgel (Jessie), Delores Culbreath, Diann Cooper-Graham, Helen Hill, Leonard Jordan (Lora).
22 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
