Howard David Wilks

Howard David Wilks, 78, of Dermott, AR passed away on August 03, 2020 at his home in Dermott, Arkansas.
Howard was born on December 19, 1941 to the late David Wilks and Princella Wimbley in Boydell, Arkansas. He was raised by his late grandmother and father, Ezekial and Nettie Wimbley They move from Boydell to Dermott in 1954. He married Era Mae (Eaton) January 1967 and they remained married for 52 years. To this union two children were born, Kimberly and Tracie Wilks.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents and one son. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 52 years, Era Mae Wilks of Dermott, AR; two daughters, Kimberly Wilks of Mckinney, TX and Tracie Hardin (William) of Tallahassee, FL; one grandchild, Asa Hardin of Tallahassee, FL; and three sisters, Brenda Henderson of Los Angeles, CA, Doristine Phillip (Earl ) of Warren, AR, Carolyn Porter of Warren, AR and a close family friend Marc Crook of McKinney, TX.
Howard loved people and loved helping people in any way the he could and could repair almost anything. He loved to cook and garden. He did this until his health began to fail. He will truly be missed. His loving memories will live on in all our hearts. He loved his family and especially his two daughters. There is nothing he would not do for his family. Also, he loved all of his little animals that he had down through the years.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday August 7, 2020 in the Dillard Funeral Home Chapel
Rev. Ricky Fuquay officiating.
Burial will take place in Coleman Cemetery, Dermott
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
