Funeral Services for JOY FAYE JONES, 61, of Dermott, AR will be held at Saturday, July 30, 2022. Service will be held at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1109 North School Street, Dermott; Rev. Ricky Lattimore, officiating.
Joy was born on August 6, 1960 to Nathaniel and Doris Steward Jones in Dermott, Arkansas. She attended schools at Dermott High School and graduated with the class of 1978. Further study was done in 1982 and 1983 at Great Rivers Vocational School, McGehee and she majored in Business Administration/Clerical. During her years in the workforce, she worked in several different places of employment. She ended her work career with the Arkansas Department of Corrections, retiring in 2018. Joy enjoyed fishing and bike riding.
Joy passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Monticello/Drew County Medical Center leaving as survivors three children, Keadren Avriett of Dermott, AR, Chiquita Dunn (LaQuinton) of Penscola, FL, and Matthew Suber (Ann) of Dermott, AR; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Carolyn Kilgore of Dermott, AR, Robert Dotson (Elaine) of Compton, CA, Harold Jones of Dermott, AR, and Roy Jones of Dermott, AR.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 9:00 to 6:00 at Dillard Funeral Home in Dermott, AR.
Burial will take place in Bowie Cemetery, Halley, AR. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
