Funeral Services for Mother Rosie Flowers, 91, of Dermott, AR will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022. Service will be held at Love Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Kelso; Rev. Roosevelt Dye, Pastor; Supt. Harold Owens, officiating.
Rosie was born on June 7, 1931 to Dank and Minnie Hokes in Collins, Arkansas. She married McKinley Flowers who preceded her in death. To his union 12 children were born; she was the last of the 11 who preceded her death.
Mrs. Flowers was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Kelso and mother of the church. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, quilting, and cooking.
Mother Flowers passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her home. She is survived by eight children, Supt. Harold Owens of Warren, AR, William Flowers (Shirley) of McGehee, AR, James Flowers of Waco, TX, Henry Flowers of Little Rock, AR, Larry Flowers (Kathy) of Hindville, GA, Bernice Flowers of Denton, TX, Christopher Flowers of Florida, and Thelma Flowers of Lewisville, TX, and twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, eight great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott, AR
Burial will take place at Rolling Waters Cemetery, Kelso/Watson Community. Service entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott.
