Funeral Service for Solomon Roosevelt "Scrapp" Smith, 66, of Eudora, AR will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024. Service will be held at Dillard Funeral Chapel, 137 Front Street, Eudora; Rev. Raymond Gill, Officiating Minister.
Solomon was born on February 17, 1958 to Willie and Clemonteen M. Smith-Matthews in Eudora, Arkansas. He was married but divorced. His confessed religion was Baptist. Solomon attended school in the Eudora School District, graduating from high school with the class of 1976.
Solomon lived in Long Beach, California for several years. While living there he worked as a Caregiver. After returning to Eudora, he worked for the Eudora Garment Factory. After leaving the garment factory, he began working at Max's Grocery, Oak Grove, Louisiana; where he worked until his health began failing. He enjoyed basketball, watching other sports activities, and taking care of the lawn.
Mr. Smith passed on April 1, 2024 at home in Eudora. He is survived by one daughter, Breezy E. Woods-Smith of Eudora, AR and nine siblings, Willie Lee Smith Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, James Smith Sr. of Kansas City, MO, McKinnley Smith (Gwendolyn) of Lake Village, AR, Wilson Smith (Genolia) of Eudora, AR, Louisia E. Smith-Barnett of Oak Ridge, TN, Piccola Smith of Chicago, IL, Delma J. Smith-Friday of Jacksonville, AR, Joyce A. Smith of Long Beach, CA, and Sandra K. Smith of Eudora, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lee Smith Sr. and Clemonteen M. Smith-Matthews; four siblings, Mamie Lee Love, Eddie Love, Lee Bertha Smith, and Marvia J. Smith; and his Grandfather, Dave Smith.
Visitation will be held for IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY on Friday, April 12, 2024, from1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home 137 Front Street in Eudora, AR.
Burial will take place at Hill Cemetery, Highway 159, South, Eudora. Services entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 137 Front Street, Eudora.
